Preamble

The licenses for most online services are designed to take away your freedom and limit your responsibility. By contrast, the aquantus.ru Public License is intended to guarantee your responsibility and outline our shared principles of operation. It is founded on two ideas: The Philosophy of the Warm Coat and the Law of the Common Greatcoat.

The Philosophy of the Warm Coat holds that if a tool is functional, reliable, and serves its purpose, it should be valued and maintained. It prioritizes stability over novelty and sufficiency over excess. Your account, your data, and your conduct are your "Warm Coat" in this digital space.

The Law of the Common Greatcoat is the foundational fabric of our community. Just as it is said that great literature "came out of Gogol's Greatcoat," all interactions on this service "come out of" these fundamental rules.

  • "The Service" refers to the software and community platform.
  • "The User's Coat" refers to a user's account and reputation.

1. The Philosophy of the Warm Coat

You are responsible for the maintenance of your own "Warm Coat." This means:

  • Security: Maintain confidentiality of credentials.
  • Integrity: Provide accurate information and act with honor.
  • Sufficiency: The Service is provided "as is." Focus on stability.

2. The Law of the Common Greatcoat

Prohibited actions include:

  • Distributing materials that violate laws or incite hatred.
  • Disseminating malicious code.
  • Harassment or slander.
  • Misrepresenting identity.

3. Grant of License for Contributions

You retain rights to your Contributions but grant aquantus.ru a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute them.

4. Sharing and Adaptation

  • Attribution: You must provide attribution to authors.
  • Share Alike: Remixes must be distributed under this same License.

5. NO WARRANTY

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE.

6. Termination & Revisions

This License terminates automatically if you breach its terms. aquantus.ru may publish revised versions of this License from time to time.
